Did you know that eating green beans could give you a net loss on the calorie count.

Depending on the way you cook them and most importantly what you add to them green beans could wind up being a negative calorie food. For example if you prepare the green beans with young potatoes and a chunk of bacon fat guess what? You loose “not weight” but the battle of the bulge.

However cook them lightly with steam and when you serve them add a couple sprigs of Cilantro and maybe a squirt of fresh lemon and you win. If you just have to add salt use sea salt but not too much. Experiment with salt substitutes for flavor enhancement I really like lemon pepper, be sure and check the label.
